    Don't use that to finish your edge. Its the wrong micron.
    Its good for buffing a blade only. You want the stuff from SRD, for stropping your edge

    I suspect it contains other stuff besides CrO.

    Yea, don’t use it. There are many threads on “Green” polishing compounds. Notice they don’t even call it Chrome Oxide, that’s the first clue.

    Good razor quality Chrome Oxide is not much more and a one time purchase is a lifetime supply. Buy Hand America, Kremer Pigments or SRD.

    Polishing compounds leave the edge too rough to shave and may have to be re honed.
