    Default New stone.

So I got a Naniwa 12k from SRD and needed a platform for it,I have some Sitka Spruce wing spars from a super cub in the corner of my shop that I scored about 20 years ago.Whipped out this saddle for the new stone,it's light as a feather .Soon as the stain dries I can put some finish on it.

    Looks great!

Is it over there or over yonder?

Maybe it's not completely dried, but I like how it almost has a weathered patina to it. Any footing to keep it from sliding around?

I have to ask...what happened to the Super Cub that would have it now doing a stint as the base for a razor hone...?

I wish I had a exciting tale to tell you but in reality a friend of mine was restoring one and gave them to me.At the time I owned a traditional archery shop and I had made a dowling machine. We were going to run some through it for arrow shafts due to its straight tight grain but after cutting a few blanks I realized it was just to light in weight. So it got stacked in the corner .
