    Default Swaty hone

    I picked this one up for a nominal price. Any advice on how to use it to refresh or get an edge on a razor? I am not sure if each side is a different grit and what the grit is.

    That's a 3-line swaty, and is usually considered a fine-grit barber hone, but I don't really know what the effective grit is, probably around 10k I'd expect. According to the directions that came with mine, the two sides are slightly different grits, with the top (text) side being the finer of the two.
