Default Honing a Wilkinson Sword SE Blade

Gentlemen. Does anybody have any experience with honing a Wilkinson Sword SE blade like the one in this picture? I haven't been able to find much out on honing them other than one youtube video. If you've honed them before, is there any pitfalls I need to be aware of? Thanks in advance guys!

There are three main eras of those. Not that that changes how they are sharpened. That era is a little more simple because there is no metal clip to remove. When I sharpened mine I used a honing guide handle from another style of wedge blade that seemed to work just fine. Without a handle it is really difficult to push those little blades around on the hone and have consistent pressure. It would not be difficult to fashion a makeshift one where the blade is more or less taped to the handle. I flip my blades from end to end periodically to try to keep them even.

Is that the correct blade for this razor? - it's certainly not seated properly as the blade should be positioned behind the stops on either side.

My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

A friend told me he had good results using these old Weck shavettes as a blade holder for honing the Wilkies.
He sent me one along with a blade, but I have not tried it yet......
