Thanked: 3215You want the 1k to remove some metal and get the deep sub 1k stria. Re-set the bevel on the 1k, with some pressure and circles and finish with light x strokes to lay down an even 1k pattern.
Joint the edge and remove all the 1k stria with the 2k. I have been using the Naniwa 2k lately, and it really does go quickly and will cut your 4k time by removing the deep stria, so you 4k does more polishing.
Don’t worry too much about the edge, until the 4k, joint and get a straight as possible. It should be downhill from there.
