I have several razors I have used this stone on & I really like the results.
I wanted to see what strokes or combination of strokes would give me a better edge. I tried heal forward & toe forward & then I thought about the stroke I had not tried. I had some stria from both of these strokes so I very lightly jointed the razor on my 10K Chinese hone & completed a set of rounds on that hone. I next went to the Shapton 16K & did 8 very light circle laps on both sides & looked at it under my loupe. Most of the scratches were gone. I then did 10 light rounds on my Jager rough out leather strop with green compound & then 40 laps on the Jager Shell strop and it is a really nice edge on my favorite straight razor. My 6/8" pre 1881 Wade & Butcher. I didn't think I could improve the edge I had BUT I did! Got to get a USB microscope to see this edge.
