6 hours and i dont know how many feet of tape later, I have a nice looking razor. No way I was going to HONE the damned thing with so many layers of tape. I took it to 4 layers and honed to clean steel. Then I dropped it to a single layer of tape Honed through the grits to 8k. Up to 2 layers, wash rinse repeat... and ended at 3 layers, until I had a bevel set. If you look close you can see the 3 lines where the multiple areas meet.

Toe actually had more hone wear, so its a little wider there. A very frustrating evening. Things us insomniacs do to pass the time, I tell you.
