Thanked: 0Japanese Natural Stones
Hi.For all those interested in japanese natural stones here is a site which I hope you will find useful. http://www.japan-tool.com I have been a customer but whether you are looking to buy or not, this is a source of reliable and in depth knowledge on the subject which is,in my experience, rare. The name of the site's owner is So.He is a native japanese speaker who is comfortable in english and a good guy who loves sharing his enthusiasm.I think that up to now most of his customers have been woodworking tool types but when we last met(we both live in Sydney) I suggested that I mention his site in a straight razor forum so here we are.

Great. Just what I need. A reputable site with an english speaking proprietor, selling a gianormous amount of natural stones...
As if I need even more temptation...
But this is a great link. I'll have to check it out, despite the fact that most of the stones are probably out of my league.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 4Yes, So is a very decent, helpful guy. His site is fairly new and he really concentrates on woodworking but his English is a lot better than most other merchants. The only downside is the shipping which makes it dearer for people outside of Australia although some items are shipped direct from his family in Japan so in those cases it doesn't really matter where you are.
He was sticking a few items on ebay at low starting prices for a little while to get established but I doubt most of them would have interested people here.
