To dispose of a razor safely, wrap it in duck tape with many layers first. This way no unsupection 0erson or animal will slice a finger or paw. Or grind the edge flat then dispose of it.
It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 18Just curious and in no way attempting to be critical about this but isn't there something else you would rather to spend your time doing. To me it seems to be a task of futility. I have two, not really bad shape, which I finally gave up on because I could not get it sharp enough to shave with without pain. Just asking.

Thanked: 2Don't underestimate brute force and ignorance 😜 I started an early shift recently so I did this in work ...LOL..I'm fairly persistent even when driving 100 mile an hour in the wrong direction ...I'll chalk this one up or just grind it down until it submits ....600 grit lapping film costs only a few cents when you cut each sheet into 3..

In the spirit of taking the proverbial piss. I say keep at it until the spine wear meets the edge wear. Problem solved you wont have any spine wear any more and it will be a true wedge . Then do a shaving video with it. You know you want to.
Don't drink and shave!

Actually this is not un common with a near wedge, true wedge or “blank” razor. The bevel set is imperative if you want the blade to shave proper, which is the goal. There is plenty of good steel left for an awesome razor. Here’s one method of salvage..
