Thanked: 2209Blue stone with little dark flecks is a natural belgian stone. If it was the cheap black slate then there would be no flecks/speckels. The blue is approx 4000-6000 and the yellow is approx 8000-10000 grit. Use both side with a slurry.

i'm glad i have this hone, sure is a nice one i guess.
now how do i go about working up a slurry? i guess i need a good bit more reading o this stuff... maybe one of those dvd's i've seen around
