Let us know if you post a travel video. I've got a decent travel kit worked out, particularly since I don't travel often, but I'm always interested in finding better options. Probably the best addition for me has been the bottles that Fine puts their aftershave samples in, they travel well and the small size allows me to take more than one option if I like. Next thing on the list is to buy or manufacture a shave stick (sorry, I just can't bring myself to use Arko).

It helped pass a dull evening at the hotel that would've been otherwise spent watching naked and afraid or some other terrible tv program.

Perhaps a book or 2 should've found their way into my travel pack as well. Live and learn eh?
My Kindle always goes with me with about 200 books on it, as does a small Bluetooth Stereo speaker for music from my phone. Music and reading are usually what I enjoy rather than TV. Especially when shaving, I like music in the hotel bathroom, just like I always have music in my shave den at home.

I really can see where having a stone with you may save the day and be a smart idea on long trips - like if you find a nick on your razor or it suddenly is causing irritation and stropping won't clear it up. If I were gong to be gone for a few weeks, I may give this some thought. Speaking of long trips, I have a long trip to Toronto and Montreal coming up in October, with another long trip to Vegas and Lake Havasu in January, so who knows. I may pack a stone just for a mid-trip hone. Now that would be a cool video from a hotel bathroom. Honing, stroping and wet shaving on the road.

    Mahalo for the idea!

    Will do!

Arko is not my favorite, but I do use it. I put some Cremo Cooling cream in a smaller container as I do with some Proraso Grean cream, and these are usually my goto creams while on the road. And if I feel the urge to do soap, I have the Conk Lime in the Conk travel container. I always add a drop or two of glycerin to the Conk to help the lather. IMO it makes a huge difference. I have "SHAVING STICK CONTAINERS" that I put the Proraso and Cremo in for travel. They are dirt cheap on Amazon.

I've been contemplating buying some shaving stick tubes and filling them with something that is reasonably priced and travels well. At this point I'd probably load with some of Fine's offerings as they're soft and I like pairing the Snake Bite with some of the splashes that I commonly use. I've also been tempted to buy a stick of D.R. Harris' Windsor but I hate spending the same amount for the travel sticks as a replacement puck.

The inclusion of a barber's hone is an interesting idea for a longer trip but I've become a fan of leaving my strop at home and using newspaper for daily maintenance. Of course this would necessitate me spending money on a barber's hone. HAD looms...

I made a decision at the beginning that I couldn't afford straight razor shaving unless I was willing to maintain my own blades.

I don't particularly enjoy honing but I really did myself a favor getting Shapton ceramic hones and diamond paste to do touch-ups when radical finishing isn't needed.

A couple of years ago I bought a Filarmonica razor from JimmyHad that was honed so well that I use it sparingly as a benchmark for what a superior edge is like.

I'm not very graceful at honing but over the years I've found ways to get optimum results.

I have to agree, Jimmy puts a stellar edge on a razor. Surly a benchmark to aim for, albeit very high

I keep a barber hone in my dop kit. It takes little room.

Oops. That was supposed to be dop kit. This time autocorrect kept trying to make it "dip" kit.
