Yes, a bit of that goes great even after a 12k edge at times.
Works wonders when it does!

This is all good to hear. I have a Naniwa SS 12k being delivered today. It's my 1st finisher - I've been using lapping film so far down to 1 micron.

How did you like the lapping film for razors? I DLF for knives but have not tried it on razors.

IME 1um film followed by a few light laps of 1um film over damp paper gives an edge nearly identical to a 12k Naniwa.

The stone is a lot less futsy.

Light strokes on the 12k, this a great stone and I think you will enjoy it very much.

you'll love the 12K SS. That's all I used until a friend showed me the Suehiro 20K. Now I also go from the 12 to the 20 when I hone a razor. It's easy to get spoiled.
