Thanked: 1Local Honing?
Hey, just a quick ask, both my dad and my brother (both of whom I got shaving with straights) are looking for someone local to hone their blades. They don’t like the idea of shipping them to someone, and don’t want the turnaround time necessary to ship there and back. So is there anyone local to Bonney Lake or Auburn WA that can hone a couple blades for a decent price. One is an old Dovo about 50-70 y/o and the other is an old Wade and Butcher that needs a little love.

Bayou have a few guys up there, nit sure if close enough to you though, but this is something I'll ever understand, Hone guy is as close as your mailbox, and less than gas in your car not to mention the time frame is the same cause you,ll be waiting till you find the time. I ship mine from Tennessee to Idaho all the Time, takes a week round trip.
I'll bet f you mailed them out tomorrow they would be back before your family got around to seeing someone, plus maybe they don't find a real pro to do it and wind up with a bad job. Tc“ I,m getting the impression that everyone thinks I have TIME to fix their bikes”

And the guy in Idaho does a fantastic job honing a razor and other razor work (customs, repairs, etc.) at a very reasonable price.
