Question Type of Stone?? Gliss Razor Hones

Found these two hones but don't know what they are.
The makers mark became more clear on the dark stone (hard ark?) after cleaning.
Since they are American made my first guess is that they are both types of Arks.
My reading of it my not be completely accurate.

I could faintly make out a similar stamp on the beige stone but it washed off.

Not sure about the hones. However I am familiar with Moline, IL.

FWIW, I think that's E. Moline, Ill. I'd need to see well-focussed surface and side details to know better, but my inclination is to say that they look like synth stones.

Edit: Hah, eKretz beat me to Moline by a nanosecond!

oh Moline, IL.... used to catch Quad Cities Flames matches there back when I was in high school. Still have the sweater somewhere to prove it! (if the wife hasn't thrown it out)
as for the hones. I wouldn't be 100% sure that they are natural. Though I haven't seen many hones that look quite like that; natural or otherwise.
    One man's opinion...

Well, after cleaning them some they are very uniform in color and don't really have any of the character you normally see in natural stones. They do feel smooth though so I guess one is a finisher and the other was a prefinish stone.

I dunno, there is a space between Ave. and Moline. My guess is E.[ast] Moline.
