    Default Asymmetrical razor

    Hi Gentlemen,

need some help reg. honing a non-symmetrical razor...
left side is flat (wedge) - right side is near wedge
never honed anything like this b4
should I only be using tape on the left side ? just plain on the right side ?
I'd be happy if someone cld sort it out for me
    Many thanks

It's a microtome, so you should probably read this thread. Good luck!

Thanks @dimab , never heard of a microtome before... Makes me an unintentional owner of a microtome - was hoping for a nice 17/16" razor in fine condition (looks brand new actually after
the restoration - brought it back to shine and already made some nice (burr walnut) scales for it as well - ) I'll give it a go on the hones with some layers of tape on the flat side and see what I can make of it... Kind of a disappointment but I'll make the best of it.

I have one and it is a decent shaver. Follow the honing suggestions And it should be fine.

    Kamisori??"? Microtome...???
Flat honed flat. Curved side spine can be taped.
Worked well for me after Glen's video. 7 Kamisori and a microtome.
    YMMV
