    Default trip to japan

hello everyone i hope all is well.
I am planning a trip to japan in august, been dreaming about it forever.
I would love to absorb and see as much as i can related to honing, forging etc.
Would love to visit the mines, maybe visit a sword polisher, a forge, as well as buying some nice razors and kitchen knifes.
any tips, locations, shops, contacts you guys know of and would recommend ?

    thank you all very much,
    Dr Tal Azouri

Go see the master that makes the Kanayama stroops,
A little advice: Don't impede an 80,000 lbs. 18 wheeler tanker carrying hazardous chemicals.

Sounds like a great trip. If I ever go to Japan I doubt my wife will be interested in seeing any of that stuff with me!

I would certainly like to see a sword maker or try to track down some nice razors. I don't have any Eastern made blades yet.
    Take plenty of pictures!!

Kawagoe very nice old town (Tokyo region), main historical street, 2-3 good hone&knife local stores and workshops on short distance. About this area on the map:
