Thread: Final polisher yellow coticule or Swaty?

Hello everyone
I am certain my honing skills are improving.
I want to thank everyone who has posted a question, comment or reply to this forum.I have gleaned an untold amount of info and enjoyment.
Now for my question ,I have both a Swaty and a yellow coticule,which should I use for my final polish.

I'd go with the coticule for a final polish. My understanding of the Swaty is that it's more of a refresh hone than a finishing hone. So when the razor starts to pull a little, give it a few swipes on the Swaty. Five or six laps is what is usually recommended.

To refresh on the coticule, I usually do anywhere from 20 to 50 laps, depending on the razor.

I haven't had much luck with my Swaty, although I have a couple of other barber hones that I like a lot. These were popular hones, though, so I'm sure I'd just need to develop my touch a little.
