Thread: First kamisori and first time honing

So, here is my kamisori edge. I'm using a cerax 1000/6000 for now. I'd like to get a finer grit stone down the road.
On the kanji side , the stone scratches all the way to the esher, from heel to tip. On the non kanji side, there is a visible spot in the middle that is not showing scratch marks, and therefore not shaving hair. I can shave easily with the top 3/4" of the blade, but the rest tugs. How can I grind this spot with no scratches?
