    Default Protect paper labels?

I have some nice hones with decent labels and was wondering what people do to protect them from water / slurry run-off?

I am not compulsive or something, but a nice label is good to have - both for my own viewing pleasure and for a higher resale value (not that I plan to sell these particular hones but who knows...)

    Cheers

Assuming the label is on the side of the hone (where else??) maybe you could spray, or better yet brush, some type of water resistant clear coat over the label.

Moisture could still soak its way down through the hone and get the back side of the label but, maybe the clear coat would saturate the paper and still protect it?

Nope, Scott - I was asking for labels on the bottom (Eschers)

    Thank you
