Thanx I did much of that (though apparently took too long before doing so)
Never thought of 2c, 2e and probably waited to long before 2h
Never got to 4 as I learned my lesson with the 1k challenge
I may have been going to fast towards the end in sheer frustration which didn't help me.
Thread is bookmarked and will have it opened up at my next session

Sometimes it just takes time doesn't matter who you are or how much experience you have

I had one that came in about 2 years ago that set my personal record for cycles through

Understand I line up the razors for the day's honing, as I go through to set the bevel if one doesn't "Pop" I move it to the back of the line
When it goes through the second time I get a bit more serious about the bevel set, if it still doesn't Pop it gets moved to the next day

That one razor went through 15 cycles before it finally popped a solid bevel, I wanted to throw it against the damn wall

That makes me feel much better. I should have given up sooner and moved to another razor instead I just made myself more frustrated. I was actually planning on doing 3 razors in that session

When you get frustrated honing the best is to "walk away Renee".

If you never experience a failure, you have never tried something you didn’t’ already know how to do.
