Default Beautiful Honing videos from a member.

There are bunches of great guys here and lots of people post good videos on how to hone. If you havent done so, check out the videos at

Really nicely done. I am still afraid of honing, but between these videos and the great stuff that GSSIXGUNS puts out, I just may have to give it a go during this lockdown.

This really is advanced honing technique. The way he breadknifes a razor on a stone and the way he flips over the razor is not for beginners.

A big + on Glen's (gssixgun) videos! I learned most of what I know about honing from him especially how to hone a wedge which is a different technique than honing a hollow ground razor. He really explains what he is doing plus gives you other tips about straight razors.

Hands on is the only way to learn, B.
Videos and books give direction, as you do for your students. But you really don't know, till ya get your hands dirty. Or maybe I should say...apply yourself.

Like an infant. Ya scoot, then crawl, then stand, then walk/ toddle before you can run. Now ya can jump those hurdles
