Thread: Hone

Where does this fit in the continuum? I picked this up last week for $10. Seemed like a must have. Where does it fit between the 8k and the .5 strop? Or does it?

What is it?

Depends on what kind of a hone it is. Generally you don't need a hone b/w 8k and .5, but a 16k hone will make the transition quicker. If it's a relatively fine hone, like 8-16k, you can take it to touch up the edge when travelling.
