Thanked: 0My stones
Hi everyone !
These are at the moment my sharpening tools:
1) A hard arkansas stone (4000 grit??)
2) A japanese waterstone 6000 grit
Now i want to buy a finer grit stone but i dont want to spend a lot of money.
I saw the WOODKRAFT site and i find the chinese waterstone 12000 grit,i think is the same used and well valutated from Mister ZOWADA in his site, and above all i find it very pretty from the cost point of view.
Has someone tried/used this kind of stone?
Can someone help me with some information about?
Thanks a lot

Thanked: 0Hi Franz,
I've used the stone and it works pretty well albeit slowly. You want to make sure to lap it when you get it, since I don't think they're completely flat. I might suggest getting a stone that's somewhere in between the 6000 grit and the 12k Chinese waterstone just to cut down on actual honing time.

Thanked: 10The best stone for a fine edge is yellow coticule.
If you dont want to spend money, buy directly a coticule because the coticule is the end of the road.
My oppinion for the best stone size for razor honing is 4x20 cm
so try something between 4x15 - 4x17,5 - 4 x20
