Yes, you can use one to hone razors.
I have not looked at the price, but you should at least compare with howards offers on www.theperfectedge.com
I have ordered a thuringer for another member here from the website you linked to, and they were more expensive than howard for shipping. So if their coticules are also more expensive, you will be better off with howard.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

And . . . watch out! They don't say anywhere what the size of the stone is. It goes by weight!!

It's 15.50 Euros, which is extremely cheap for a coticule. It must be tiny or something different from what Howard sells? I couldn't see a size buried in the German text. Anyone?

They only say the weight, 180–220 g. My guess is that they're selling the bouts, which are more square/round than rectangular (like the one in the last picture on the manufactum site). For weight reference, I have a ~10 sq.in. (4x18cm) coticule which weighs about 400g.

I should mention that since you (tonyspurs) live in the UK, Manufactum.de won't ship to you, because there is an UK-based Manufactum. And even though the UK-based one doesn't carry the coticule, or the MST/Muller Thuringen, they still won't do it. I think someone else from the UK tried getting them to ship to him, but they wouldn't.
If you do want one of those MST stones, you can get them through toolshop.de. And if you want a coticule, you'll have to get it from somewhere other than Manufactum.

this morning i phoned manufactum uk and said i wanted the mst stone but it was only on the german site, the lady i spoke to said no problem she can order it for me, gave her the product no, she confirmed it as Thüringer Wasserabziehstein and said 4-5 days for delivery, cost of shipping £4.99.
they got dominica bay rum on that site aswell for 26 euro! dearer than the stone inc shipping!
