Default escher with or without slurry

A lot of guys here use their coticule without slurry for the final finish. I wonder if you all do the same with the escher – use it first with slurry, then without.

I tend to use mine with light slurry after the coticule. But I'm curious if anyone's done any experimenting with different amounts of slurry or none at all.

A light slurry works well as does just plain water. My stone generates its own slurry very fast because it is so soft.
