Thanked: 346Mine's in a red squirt bottle. As long as it's Kroil, from the Kano corporation, that's probably the same stuff.
It seems to penetrate about as well as WD40, but IMO it's better than WD40 because it doesn't leave a hygroscopic film after it dries. I originally used it to clean out the barrels of my guns. I could run a kroil-soaked patch down a barrel that was as sparkly-clean as the various bore cleaners could get it, and the kroil patch would come out black. Usually only 2 or 3 kroil patches are needed to clean the bore, because it's so good at floating out the crud from the various cracks and crevices.
