Thread: I DID IT ! ! !

I FINALLY GOT THERE BROTHERS ! ! ! .........Today was my day off, so (after doing all the "honey-do's), I sat down with that damn 8000, and then the yellow coticule, and worked.........and WORKED...........and WORKED.......AND WORKED..........

FINALLY ! ! !........ I did it !.........

Both razors passed the "hanging hair" test ! ! !........I couldn't believe it ! I did the test about eight times (just to be sure I had it), and each time I laughed out loud with pleasure ! ! !

Held the razor on the basin (pointed up), and gently moved (one of my own) hairs straight down on the edge.......... *Tink* !


WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I'm on my way to LEARNING !

Thats the way! Just reading your post excites me!

Glad to see the enthusiasm. Congrats. It is a big accomplishment. You get the razor sharp. Now you just have to refine it till you can shave comfortably with it and you are set.

Thanks JMS & Chris !..........What a rush !.........As you guys know, I'm a "newbie"......and if you read the few posts that I've put up, you'll know that my two razors are a new T-I and a painfully old Case !

There's an old saying that "A little knowledge can be dangerous" !

Well.....Lynn's DVD showed how to "sharpen" a razor, so that's what I did !

(Problem was my razors needed more "sharpening" than his did) !

OK.....let common sense take over........Get the bevel with the 4000,
then work on the 8000 until you think you're there.

THEN: work on the Belgian until you think you can shave with it.........

THEN: work it on the linen and FINALLY .....on the leather !

Can you say: "P-A-T-I-E-N-C-E" ?........... (I can) !
