UK sales of Norton 4/8K combi - a deal for SRP members!
I have just been raking around and seeing what is available, gear wise, from the UK. I wanted a Norton combi hone and was tempted to fly it in but managed to get classichandtools.com to 'cut' me and any SRP members a deal. They will do the Norton combi for the list price less 17.5% this brings it under £50 delivered in the UK (£48.91 right now). Best to email them direct (c/o Mike Hancock) and this deal is only for cards or cheques not Paypal - mention straightrazorplace.com. Mike mentioned that there is a price rise of 4% coming up by easter and he will have to rejig then but that is the deal for now - I have ordered one. He may be willing to do something on other stones but this is his offer for now. If it can be beaten here let us know. (Too late for me though!)

This is the chap I dealt with for the hone - Mike Hancock. He is one of the company owners.
My transaction was pretty smooth with them but touch base with Mike and he will sort it out I am sure.
cheers

Thanked: 11Rutlands.co.uk currently has a sale on norton waterstones. Their price is 45.56 inc.
They do charge five pounds delivery per order, but it's next day delivery. I got mine last week. Now all I have to do is learn how to use it!
If you have to pay customs duty on the import, then this works out cheaper.

Hi all, I know this is an old thread but just wanted to let everyone know that Mike at classic hand tools are still happy to offer anyone quoting srp a discount, I just got 10% off the Norton starter kit (220/1k 4/8k and flattening stone) for about £125 great price for this set from what I can find.
