Morning update on the basic honing, I declare Wapi #1 "Almost Shave Ready" - I am pretty sure that I could improve the bevel but the edge is razor sharp and there was no pulling at all this morning.

Plenty of nicks from a darn sharp razor but all from being surprised about how sharp my razor was. Nice and smoot.

Wapi #1 will stay upstairs with the strop while I try to improve on it with Wapi #2. - This time I am going to be a fanatic about setting a straight bevel. I think this is likely the key to promoting #2 to #1.
