Thanked: 335Honed a NOS razor
Last night I honed a NOS C. Friedr. Schmidt Revisor and shaved with it this morning. Son-of-a-gun, I got one of my closest, smoothest shaves yet. How about that? I don't know if I did something right or if old C. Friedr. put some magic in the Revisor. Whichever, it sure worked well. I'm happy as a clam in sauce.
To end this with an on-topic reference: coticule seems to have won the day again as I finished with it after the Norton 8K. The coticule is the finishing hone which seems to best set up an edge for my face. Not bad for a Belgian rock, hmmm?
