5/8 Success
Well it wasn't perfect, but it shaved pretty well.
I took an ebay razor with small chips in the blade through a 235 grit wet/dry sandpaper, 1000 grit japanese ceramic stone, Norton 4000 and 8000; followed by the yellow coticule... Slurry and then just water.
Hard to not not have something happen after all that, eh?
I am exhausted; but have a razor that is pretty useable now. Took a lot of work on the sandpaper and the 1000 grit stone. But glad I did it.
Still need lots of practice before I touch any of my nice razors, but this was encouraging.
