Thurin...whatchamacallit stones from Woj
Before the crash, Wojtec sold some stones that were Thuringen or something similar. I got one and I'm wondering if any more experienced honers have any thoughts on where they fit into the process. Thanks.

I'm not up on exactly where these things were dug out of the ground, nor their grit size really, but it is very much a finishing hone. I got mine while waiting for my Coticule to arrive but since I started to use the Coticule I've pretty much forgotten about this stone. It should fit in nicely right after a Norton 4k/8k stone and before a Cr2O3 loaded strop.

That's what I'm thinking too. I just wanted to see if anyone could confirm that it worked well in this role. I have a coticule and a hunsreuck(sp?), but I'm thinking this other stone will be good for warped blades since its so narrow.
