Thanked: 0The Joy of Honing
Alright guys it's been quite a while since I have posted but I figured it was about time.
My last shave ready razor was getting dull and I had the choice between getting a hone and learning or spending even more money and time to send several razors out to keep me shaving. I decided it would be best if I just broke down and got myself a Norton 4k/8k.
I'm definitely a noob and my mileage is definitely varying but 2 out of 4 razors that I have attempted to hone have come out like a dream (and one is a wedge with a mean smile so it shouldn't count!).
Not only am I on my way to getting more consistent results but I'm pleased that I can finally get some of those ebay blades into the lineup instead of just sitting in a drawer collecting dust.
Just wanted to thank all of you folks that contributed information without you I would be lost!
Cheers,
Chris

I bought a Norton several months ago, and haven't even lapped it yet. It's time I get started!
