    Default I think I may have overhoned.

    In my learning to hone quest, I've taken a standard Wapi razor and honed it so that it gave me a nice shave, not completely smooth but much more successful. Each time I've honed it, it's got a little better.

    Except for yesterday, now it's much duller and doesn't shave well at all. I'm not sure if I've overhoned it, or just honed it badly. I guess I'm back to square one and trying to set the bevel again on the 4000.

    It sounds like you are not that far off. This is one situation where I would recommend a few light pyramids and see where you are after that.
