    Default I have achieved...

One months I have been shaving with a straight with spectacular results.

Visit to an old barber of 75 years to 50 miles from where I live and I like honing formerly taught.

The barbershop was spectacular 200 years old. I teach coticules very old, many straights, various useful ...

The method has no mystery. The hard work is done and hone conticuacion is fined with pasta.

This method was taught by his father and his father was taught by his grandfather.

I have made a small variation of the method using hone and ending with diamond pastes and the result is ... Spectacular.

The use strops prepastet wicth 4 or 5 strokes before stroping and next... STROPING IN PALM HAND.

I now use a piece of balsa with pasta red dovo and after stroping in palm hand "do not use my strop, palm hand only" and took a straight month and has not lost sharpness.

I want to thank all those who have helped me with their advice and, above all, Firestar and LX_emergency by honing my straight and know how to wing sharpness is a hone. I believe that continuing with pastes gives a much greater sharpness.

Thank you all and happy shavings

    Greetings form Barcelona-Catalonia

    Hey Estroncio, thats great!

I always enjoy reading your posts as I can clearly see how hard you are trying to learn and how far you have come!
The language barriers make this learning more difficult which makes your victories all the sweeter!!

There is something special about hand stropping. I'll have to try it somemore.

I'm glad you're doing well, Dioni Since you've discussed the topic with a local barber, one of these days, I'll have to get some Spanish translations of razor terminology from you

Estroping in hand palm was formerly very common among farmers because it does not have a strop. The barbers despite having also wore strop in hand but was unable to tell me why it works. It simply works...

It has to be done very smoothly without pressure, it does not matter much which is perfectly flat
