    Question Tam O' Shanter what Grit is this hone

    Can anyone tell me what grit this is by looking at the pic,there is nothing on the label other than made in scotland ,tam o 'shanter hone works.It is about 6" long by 1/2" kind of small for razor use ,mabey x patern or for knife's.

    Default Tam O Shanter hone

    I believe with those dimensions that the particular hone there is called a TOS stick and from what I can see by the label it was made for jewellers and printing applications, the mine owner had alot of them as he still supplies them
