Sounds good, I've contacted the perfect edge to try to buy a Norton, pre "lapped".
I have the glass and leather hones from wildtim so I've got the "bookends" for the Norton...
If it was just one razor I'd probably go the honemeister route to save $$ for the time being, but with 3 in need, I think it's a good time.

You may want to get 2k wet dry sand paper from the auto parts store.

The Norton will be quicker but the cheep way to skip the Norton 4/8K...

After you remove the frown and set the bevel with the 1.5K paper, move to the 2k paper, keep going till the paper is loaded up and don't seem to "cut" any more, just keep honing lightly (only the weight of the razor), it will still cut but like a higher grit hone (like 4-6K). When the bevel is good and polished then move to the CrO2 leather. Of course you will do the usual tests (TNT, TPT) as you go.

    +1 on this.

Everyone should really be aiming to learn to hone themselves if time permits imho. It makes for much greater enjoyment for me personally, plus you'll save money in the long run with shipping etc.

You can also do touch ups on your razor mid cycle.
