Howard now charges 5 dollars to flatten and chamfer new stones, which
in my opinion is absolutely worth it. I recently received a new coticule
in factory condition that required quite a bit of flattening, not to mention
the relatively coarse scratch marks that were present on the surface.

I can now see how much work Howard was having to put into each and
every stone that he shipped
