Swaties seem to be going for around $50 at the moment on ebay, and a lot of people really like them. You prolly won't be able to find a grit, since barber hones usually are not specified, but they're good for very light honing. I believe you could use that and finish on a pasted strop.

I have seen references to two or three line Swaty's, but I don't know the difference myself.

The three line Swatys have three lines of text. Can you guess how many lines of text the two line Swatys have?

I have some of each and I can't tell the difference by looks, by feel, or by effect on the edge under the microscope.

If i'm not mistaken, the three line swaty hones are slightly finer than the 2 line variety. Both are in the 10k grit range and cut relatively slowly. Use dry, with water or with lather.
