Thread: diamond paste

Where can i purchase some 1.0 and 0.5 diamond paste. i carn't get any fom tony miller at the mo as his containers are exploding in shipping them.

I just got a tube of 1.0 micron from these guys. Cheap, and superfast shipping!

I have just emailed them i take it there 0.half is 0.5? Thanxs for that. i just recieved my paddle from tony miller with 1.0 and 0.5 plus chr oxide so i,m just wanting to stock up on the paste as i carn't get it in the uk. not tryed the diamond paste yet but realy felt the differance with the chr. at what stage do you use your 1.0 paste cheers gary

I go from 3.0 um diamond lapping film to the 1.0um diamond on a hanging strop.

I'm trying to determine if I like it right from the 1.0um, or if I like the dge off of the Crome Ox better.

I usually hit up the Crome Ox, just because I can't help but to keep futzing about with the edge!

I must say I'm not that experianced at honing but i have just removed a chip from a very old john clarke razor made in shefield.
with norton stones finished with a 12 k and then tryed my paddle with chro, 25 t0 30 lapps and a good stroping and the differance was amazing the razor was much smoother you could see how shiney the bevel was and did'nt pinch around my top lip or chin when shaving with the grain and did'nt leave the odd hair behind on my neck so i stropped one of my new razors on the chro and it made a big differance its defanatley good stuff in my opinion.But i was just wodering if my razor starts to pull would i be able to touch up on the chr or may be go back to my 1.0 and then work my way down to the chro. i supose i just have to try when the time arives. thanxs gary.
