Thread: Frictionite #24

Is anyone familiar with the frictionite #24... can you give me an approximation on what grit it is?

Also, at what grit do you start worrying about over-honing an edge? I imagine (from my readings) that if you are using, say a 4k grit stone, that you could hone the blade all day and not worry about over-honing. I think if you are using an 8k stone that you will have to concern yourself with that... is that approximately the point where you should start being careful not to over-hone?
