Thanked: 0I don't think importing it is an issue per se, I've been told by a retailer that over-the-counter products aren't being sold that have Chrome Oxide as a major constituant - he claims it's due to some "health claim issue thing"
I notice that FlexCut won't use Chrome Oxide either - they also claim "health issues" and, additionally cost vs. additional benefit! But they are tool sharpening, not razor honing
Either way, I can't seem to get a commercial chrome oxide honing product in the UK for love nor money. Barneycg pointed out the ebay sale of some (thanks Barney!) - but I'm not sure if this is the correct grade or has even grit content etc..

Heck for the price the guy in E-bay is getting you might want to get the stuff and see if it works, if it doesn't you can always follow his directions and blow it up

Thanked: 0...right, I've ordered some! Let's see what it's like when it arrives... I'm guessing 250g of the stuff might last while, if it's any good. If it isn't - I'll be on the BBC World News pretty shortly. I'll be the badly shaved guy with no eyebrows left...

I ordered from HandAmerican, got all the pastes/powders he have, green chrome, silca carbide, boron carbide etc, no problem in getting that mailed to Norway.
But lot of others would not ship it,.. yes, it can be hasardious, but you are not going to inhale it, or eat it....
But tell us how it works with the stuff you ordered, good price anyway.
