    Default coticule vendors

    several of the vendors (some of whom are members) with great reps sell yellow coticules. Is the product that each sells the same, or are there important differences. I dont want to offend anyone so I'm not mentioning vendors, though they all seem to have great reputations and similar prices, so I'm assuming the quality is the same unless someone pipes in that they are actually buying from different quarries or soemthing.

    Every vendor out there sells basically the same stones as there's only one quarry left where these are mined

    There are different quality groups, but AFAIK only the highest quality stones are sold by the guys that are members here.

    There is a large variance in coticule quality as required for razors.
    I have 3 coticules (tiny, medium and large and only the large one is really suitable for razors. I bought it from Howard.

    Howard check all of his stones, and returns the ones he is not happy with.
    Some other sellers just sell everything they get, regardless of quality.
    EDIT: With 'some others' I meant nobody on this forum, but I know of one brick and mortar shop who do.

    So +1 for howard.
