    Default Antique Hone

I was at the antique store today and found a Diamond Edge extra fine hone. I am wondering if this would work on my straight razor. It looks pretty old, I dont know if that would effect its quality or not because it looks to be in good shape. Any feedback would be great. Thank You

If it's cheap, just pick it up and find out for yourself. You'll need to lap it, but once that's done you'll be able to do a quick touch up or two on a dulling razor and find out whether it's going to be fine enough for your taste.

A CrO pasted strop would pick up much of the slack if it's not quite fine enough.
