Thanked: 0Antique Hone
I was at the antique store today and found a Diamond Edge extra fine hone. I am wondering if this would work on my straight razor. It looks pretty old, I dont know if that would effect its quality or not because it looks to be in good shape. Any feedback would be great. Thank You

Thanked: 150If it's cheap, just pick it up and find out for yourself. You'll need to lap it, but once that's done you'll be able to do a quick touch up or two on a dulling razor and find out whether it's going to be fine enough for your taste.
A CrO pasted strop would pick up much of the slack if it's not quite fine enough.
