Dear All,

I purchased a new Dovo ‘Prima Silver Steel’ razor and it was sent via the sharpenng service. It popped hairs and gave a great shave, after 2 weeks despite stropping it lost its sharp edge and wouldnt give a decent shave let alone pop any hairs.

I lapped my Norton 4k/8k and began honing. I done around 5 laps on the 4k and 10 on the 8k to no avail, i back honed and up it by 5 passes, still to no avail. I was advised that it possibly needs 40 or so passes on the 4k and 8k, i still cant get it to that original standard.

What can i do?

Any suggestions or advice would be most appreciated.
