    Default Lapping a Norton 220/1000??!!!

    Hey gents,

    I've tried seaching other post but to no avail!! So... what grit sandpaper do I use to lap the Norton 220/1000 combo?? I use 220 and 600 3M paper to lap my 4k/8k but wondered if these are efficient on the 220/1k stone!!

    Any suggestions welcome!

    I would lap it the same way (I imagine the matrix is the same mud) but expect to wear out your paper faster.
