Default East Bay Help with lapping Norton

    Hey,
I am temporarily living in El Cerrito, CA and have my norton 4k/8k with me, but I do not have my D8C to lap it. I tried sand paper long time ago and this stone does not respond to sandpaper lapping.

Is there anyone in the east bay who has a lapping stone I can use momentarily while you drink my beer?

Awhile back I needed to lapp the 4000 side of my norton and Lynn advised me to use a pumice stone. It worked great.

It would seem problematic to get it really flat though.
