    Default Thumb pad test

    Well...This is funny imho

I honed up 3 blades yesterday. I usually do the TPT to test the edge of my blades. Well today..I was in the shower and got a case of the prune hands. My freakin thumb pads basically seperated where the edge dug into them. I look like someone was torturing me with a razor :P

    Anyone else have this happen?

Yeah, that happens after I've been honing for a while because the slurry/water get on my finger tips when I wipe it off the blade and when I re-wet the stones.

For me, it's more like the blade doesn't grab the skin as much as when my fingers are dry.
