    Talking Ebay NOS Escher-Sweet!!

Dark blue Escher scored on EBAY 2.5"x5" never been used or lapped. All labels and a good box. Won it at the same price (shipped)as the "new" thuringian 2.5x5 for sale @ Timber tools.

What a score, Lt.! Did it still have the slurry stone? I'd love to hear how you think the dark blue stacks up against that figured coticule you own. Please keep us posted.

I find it interesting that not only does it recommend creating slurry, but IMO, creating a "lather" with the slurry stone would be making some THICK slurry. I should really try that with my dark blue and shave with the blade. You would think they would have instructed to finish with plain water.

Nope, no slurry stone, there is a spot for one in the box though. There is even the label: Manufactured Expressly for S.RD in NY by E.S.! I don't use a slurry when I use an Escher anyway-

PS: That figured coticule is very nice BTW

Nice rock. Let us know how it works for you. I am still trying to figure out what fits where with the various Escher color labels.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
