The dish that I use to soak my stones in is a little deep to actually be used as a pond. Although, it is deep enough to soak 2 stones at the same time. Pyrex dish I found in the cupboard. The wife gave me 'the look' the first time I used it, but she is fine with it now (I think).
One of the ponds I use is a pyrex pan. I think it's about 8x10. I put a piece of styrofoam, with a rubber sheet above and below it for stability, into the pond to raise the surface of the hone above the edge of the pan.

I guess if you ever get the flu, you'll be able to keep yourself entertained in the bathroom!

It's funny , but I can use one hand or two. I just don't care, I'm like that. It really does not matter at all.

All that matters is that the razor is shaving sharp.

Some people try to make out there is some sort of elitism to using just one hand. Some consider that gentle is the only way to go. If you live in America some believe that the God "Norton" is essential to achieve success.

Not me. I go back to years before forums. I go back to times when I would see uncles stropping on trouser belts. Stropping on their inner arms. Polishing on newspaper.

This is not a difficult hobby, just something that millions of our forefathers took for granted.

Nobody I can recollect said you must........ just said......... that's sharp, good job. Nobody asked how many hand did you use.

Some would joke about the different newspapers and which was best. These were working men without an elitist thought in their head. But boy the used sharp razors.

So get real and not elitist. We are talking about shaving. It is not rocket science. Even Gillette can get a sharp edge on a razor.
